When do the training modules take place?

The course modules will take place once a month, from May 2022 to July 2023. Each module will run for 2-3 days, generally at the weekend. The dates when both the course modules and the other ancillary activities are set to take place, with online or physical attendance, shall be communicated to the participants at the start of the Leadership Academy.

Which costs are covered?

The participation fee to be paid by the headmaster will cover in full the costs for the training experience, transportation from the participant’s locality to the training venue, the meals for all the training days and the materials distributed throughout the programme, as well as the costs related to the graduation event.

AVE encourages the school headmasters to seek additional resources in order to pay the participation fee – whether from sponsors within the local private sector, engaged by the school, or from the local government institutions or even from the school’s budget, from the training expenditure category. Such additional resources may cover certain instalments, certain specific amounts from the participation fee or the said fee in full.

We will reiterate that the programme total value for the 16 months is 3300 Euro/per participant. AVE and the private companies supporting this programme will offer each participant from a public school a grant amounting to 2900 EUR. Attendees from public schools will pay a 400-EUR participation fee, in three instalments.

For headmasters coming from private schools, the participation fee equals the total value of the programme, namely 3300 EUR per participant.

Is this an accredited programme?

The Leadership and Educational Management Academy is not an accredited programme, however, at the end of the programme, the school headmasters will receive a participation certificate and a certificate supplement. The certificate supplement contains the following sections: the degree of individual participation (comprising the attendance at training modules and the fulfilment of programme tasks), which may differ for each headmaster, the number of hours reserved to all the training elements detailed upon in the Educational model section, the titles of the completed training modules and the planning thereof, the general competencies achieved by the programme.
